The Yankees looked good in their first game of spring training as the defending champs beat the Pirates by a score of 6-3. Its nice to see the guys back on the field and the Yankees showed some good pitching on Wednesday. The bats came alive late in the game and one pleasant surprise was Nick Johnson who started a Yankee rally late and helped them get the win.
Spring Training games are never about who wins or loses but it is always nice to get that first W as the season officially begins.
